Terri Amig"I fear this power of speech has robbed us of our
senses. On a world composed of 70% water, one might reasonably expect to find
that world's highest life form there, in the water. Birth and a lifelong struggle
with gravity are not becoming to a world's highest life form. Put another way,
perhaps this world's highest life form is not the teller of this tale. "In
Terri Amig's work I don't see, so much as sense, the dignity swimming in these
intimate portraits, these life forces, brimming through invisible swirls of oil.
While my own words plod through the thick everyday tangles of language, these
creatures make it stunningly obvious that this world's highest life form has yet
to be discovered." Terri Amig was born in Harrisburg, PA and spent summers as a youth in Ocean City, NJ. She has always been immersed in all things wonderful and studied Fine Art at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles and at Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, DC. | ![]() |
